I have been passionate about visual arts my entire life, and enjoy a keen interest in the natural landscape, historic artwork and urban cityscapes. Through my travels, I have had the opportunity to view amazing artwork and architectural wonders in urban centres, museums, and galleries. I find that art in the style of impressionism, expressionism, and modern work creates a a world of discovery and interpretation for the viewer. I am drawn to both natural landscapes and urban cityscapes as they depict life and movement, whether in our fast - paced world or in  the serenity of nature and wilderness, and am intrigues by the serenity of nature and wilderness, and am intrigued by the design in both. As well, movement and light are important elements in artwork, as they can effectively draw the viewer into the painting to feel as if they are there or to make personal connections to the piece.

Sherwood Park has been my home for over 30 years, and I have raised my family here. I have enjoyed numerous art work workshops locally, as well as in B.C and the United States. My creative approach to the visual arts consists of painting in various mediums (currently acrylic), sketching, photography, and more recently soapstone carving. I am currently exploring these art disciplines, with a particular focus on a study of the words of historic master artists. I am inspired by my love of nature and fascination with the design of urban cityscapes. Through my artwork, I hope to express and share the joy and beauty of our world.
